Tension continues to rise between Israel and Palestine.
72 hours after the visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who came to plead for de-escalation, the Israeli army claimed to have intercepted a "small plane" coming from the Gaza Strip.
This Saturday evening, the inhabitants of the town of Sderot, on the edge of this conflict zone, were able to hear a very large explosion.
The army stressed that it was not rockets or other fire that posed a threat to the Israelis.
"It was not a projectile launch," the army added indicating routine operations continue on the home front.
After a deadly Israeli raid on Thursday in the West Bank, Gaza and Israel stepped up their respective strikes, causing international concern.
