The two musicians, Wassim and Mario Boutros, combined music with the study of medicine. They presented a model of ambition, will, and passion for art. They became important musicians in the province of Homs.

In an interview with SANA reporter, Wassim said: “I started playing the organ when I was five years old, with the care and encouragement of my family, through training with the best playing teachers in Homs, so it was easy for me to be a pioneer in playing the country for two consecutive years. In addition to my participation, at the age of eleven, in the Festival of Distinguished Arab Children in Cairo,” pointing out that his brother Mario grew up with the presence of the organ in the house, so he began to get attached to it with greater passion.

In turn, Mario pointed out the role of the pianist Salam Al-Waari, who opened many doors for him in the world of music in the field of distribution, writing notes and leading bands until he became a composer and arranger. He now has about 100 melodies, some of which are published and others are unpublished or partially occupied, and his musical arrangements are now spread around the world. Through his own YouTube channel, in addition to composing and distributing special songs for children in Arabic for educational sites in Jordan, and cooperating with local bands in Syria and European bands in Sweden, considering that distinguished work requires time, effort and self-criticism to reach a high artistic result.

The two brothers pointed out that they are striving to spread the musical thought that they carry and to present something different from the concerts that are presented, as they founded the Mosaique musical group in 2012 with 11 young men and women who are amateurs who love music, including doctors.

And engineers and musicians, and their launch was with concerts in several regions, and their first concert was on the stage of the Palace of Culture in Homs in 2014, and their participation followed each year and in the Citadel, Wadi and Levant festivals in our gathering and with the Small Village School in the Opera House, in addition to their participation in 2017 and 2019 in the oldest jazz festival in Europe, in the Romanian city of Cluj, and the International Experiences Festival, which is held between embassies in Romania as well, and the last Silk Road concert, where they worked to present a musical show that integrated artistic elements.

Regarding their studies of human medicine and their musical talent, the two brothers saw that music is the food of the soul, and it is a universal language that touches the senses, and that there is no contradiction between music and medicine, as both are art.

And about their future projects, they confirmed that they have a lot of distinguished projects, the most important of which is their endeavor to play in the countries of the Silk Road and to present their musical arrangements through which they tend to combine the Arab and Western cultures and present them with popular musical templates.

And about Mario's recent release of Fayrouz's album, he confirmed that he worked on playing 12 Fayrouz songs on his piano on the occasion of Fayrouz's birth, and preparations are currently being made to launch Mosaique's first album at the end of next February.
