The official timekeeper of the tournament unveils the limited editions, while Gaël Fickou joins his Rugby squad.

On the occasion of the start of the 2023 edition of the Six Nations rugby tournament, Breitling announces the arrival of French rugby player Gaël Fickou within its squad of ambassadors.

Winner of the Guinness Six Nations Championship with the national team in 2022, and headliner of the Parisian club Racing 92, he joins other great players from the Six Nations, who each represent Chronomat in their country of origin: George North (Wales), Conor Murray (Ireland), Kyle Sinckler (England), Paolo Garbisi (Italy), Hamish Watson and Stuart Hogg (Scotland).

“The essence of rugby is to overcome your fears and your limits,

” underlines Édouard d'Arbaumont, Managing Director of Breitling for Southern Europe.

This coincides perfectly with the values conveyed by Breitling watches and we are happy to welcome Gaël Fickou, who embodies precisely all this positivity, in the Squad Breitling France.

For its second season as Official Timekeeper of the Six Nations Rugby Tournament, Breitling has unveiled its Six Nations Chronomat, six very limited editions of 150, each priced at €8,800.

One per country, of course: England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, France and Italy.

"As Breitling's versatile and limitless sports watch, the Chronomat Six Nations is the ideal companion for the fast and fearless world of rugby,"

explains Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling.

On a traditional Rouleaux bracelet, these steel Chronomats with a diameter of 42 mm feature the raised riders at the 15-minute markers characteristic of the model and an “onion” type crown offering easy grip.

Their three-register dial is equipped with a calendar with an integrated date window at six o'clock.

These limited editions are all powered by a Manufacture Breitling Caliber 01, COSC-certified and endowed with approximately 70 hours of power reserve.

Each model is differentiated by a dial bearing the colors of each team, whose coat of arms is also visible in the sub-dial at nine o'clock and on the sapphire crystal caseback.

Each case back is specially engraved with the name of the union, “Six Nations”, and the indication of the limited number of copies “One of 150”.

The Chronomat was initially designed as the official watch of the Frecce Tricolori, the famous acrobatic patrol of the Italian Military Aeronautics.

Popular with aviators, the Chronomat's tachymeter attracted the interest of Formula 1 teams in the 1980s and 1990s. Its reversible riders, which offer count-up or count-down functions, also made it ideal for diving and regattas.

It has thus become Breitling's most versatile sports watch.
