The state of public roads as a result of the prevailing weather conditions this evening

Damascus, SANA- The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior announced that a number of roads in the governorates of Damascus, Hama and Lattakia were closed

The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior announced that a number of roads in the governorates of Damascus, Hama, Lattakia, Tartous, Quneitra and As-Suwayda are impassable or passable with difficulty due to snowfall and fog.

In its bulletin this evening, the administration indicated the condition of the roads in those governorates as follows:

Rif Dimashq Governorate:

Al-Sahel Road, Al-Mushrifah in Al-Nabek area, is passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.

Qatana road, Kafrqouq, Rakhla road in Qatna area is passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow and ice formation, Qatana road, Qalaat Jandal, Baqasim, Al-Rimah, Arna road is passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow and ice formation.

Hama Governorate:

Jourin Road, Slenfah Road, and Shatha Road, Jubeh Burgal, are passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.

Latakia Governorate:

Roads leading to Slenfeh district are not passable due to snowfall and accumulation, Jubeh Burghal Road, Al-Ghab is not passable due to snow accumulation, Marqabah road, Maqamat Bani Hashim are not passable due to snow accumulation.

Tartous Governorate:

The roads leading to Al-Anaza district are not passable due to the accumulation of snow. The roads leading to the village of Al-Farukhia and Al-Tun Al-Jard are passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.

Quneitra Governorate:

Khan Arnabeh, Jubata al-Khashab, Hadar, Ain al-Tineh road is passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow.

As-Suwayda Governorate:

The roads leading to Al-Mashf district are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.

The Traffic Department advised drivers to use fog lights, check brakes and reduce speed at turns, slopes and road junctions, and drive carefully to avoid accidents, noting that it had allocated phone numbers 5422703-5411365 to inquire about road conditions.
