Turkish Airlines announced today the cancellation of more than 200 flights that were scheduled for the next two days, due to an expected snow storm that will hit Istanbul.
The Anadolu Agency, the spokesperson for the Turkish regime, quoted the company as saying in a statement: “238 flights were canceled to and from Istanbul Airport, on the 5th and 6th of this month, due to expected snowfall,” noting that 72 of the canceled flights were internal and 166 external.
The company pointed out the possibility of canceling more flights, calling on travelers to review their flight information before heading to the airport.
