After the call by Alberto Fernández to a political table that defines the candidacies of the Frente de Todos for this year's elections,
the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis, highlighted the initiative
, but warned: "A table is not going to do magic".
"Clearly (the table) is to begin to organize what an electoral year like this means, which is pivotal.
We want to show strong Peronism
and a Frente de Todos that at the national level has a very competitive electoral offer. We need the greatest coordination," the minister stressed.
Katopodis maintained that the ruling party's campaign must be based on "management" and "accountability" of what has been done.
He also celebrated that it is made up of governors and mayors to have "a more diverse expression of what happens in the territory."
"Sometimes
we are very used to what happens in Buenos Aires with 30 blocks, and the country is much larger
, more diverse. The realities of other provinces are very different," he remarked.
However, Katopodis urged that there not be a "naive" image of what the table represents.
"We must be clear
: neither the inmates nor the noises we have heard in recent weeks put the Frente de Todos and Peronism into crisis or terminate; not a table is going to do magic
. Along with a political table, all days there are tables and meetings, and there will continue to be. Many will be public and many will not, and it is like that because politics is like that," he said.

The role of Cristina Kirchner and the convenience of going to PASO
Katopodis preferred not to talk about "little signs and chairs with names", but pointed to the central place that
the figure of Vice President Cristina Kirchner will have within the decision-making process
of the table called by Alberto.
"She is one of the most important leaders of the last 20 years. There is no doubt that the words and the participation of Cristina and all the space that she represents is essential," he said.
But he also asked that the table have representation from the different sectors so that "something more dynamic, broad, natural" takes place.
And he issued another warning.
"As militants we are not called to replicate in space what Alberto and Cristina say. We are here to act

They cannot be tables for politicians to continue talking to each other
. Those spaces for coincidences have to serve us to continue working and fulfill the electoral contract," he launched.
Regarding the debates that will take place at the table, Katopodis estimated that they will debate whether it is convenient to go with a single candidate as in 2019 or that the PASO define the name, although he opined that this is just "the end of the story".
