A trend that many probably already guessed after the warm New Year with maximum values of 19.5 degrees in Freiburg im Breisgau.
On average, January was 2.5 degrees warmer than the first few months of the last 30 years.
The result was mild air, rain in the north and west and little snow.
The lack of sun should now be made up for in the coming week.
And even the little snow in January is being replaced by a winter wonderland in some parts of Bavaria.
