A Russian soldier gave a speech last year with what he believed to be the skull of a Mariupol defender.
Now someone in Luhansk is said to have shot him in the head.
Luhansk - The Ukrainian port of Mariupol was captured by Russian forces at the end of May last year after weeks of siege.
The fierce fighting around the Azovstal plant, in whose bunkers Ukrainian fighters held out until the end, has also become known.

A Russian soldier, said to be called Igor Mangushev, achieved a degree of notoriety through a bizarre performance during the Ukraine war.
A video has been circulating on Twitter of him giving a speech on a stage with a skull in his gloved right hand.
Mangushev claims that these are the remains of a Ukrainian soldier who was killed at the Azovstal plant.
"We are alive and this man is already dead," says the mercenary.
"Let him burn in hell.
He wasn't lucky.
We'll make a goblet out of his skull."

Mangushev's speech goes even further.
He says Russia is at war not with people of flesh and blood, but with the "idea" of Ukraine as an anti-Russian state.
"There can be no peace.
We need to de-Ukrainize Ukraine.” If Russia were at war with people, there could be peace.
"But we are at war with an idea, so all the bearers of the idea must be killed."

Now Mangushev himself seems to have had no luck.
According to media reports, he was shot in the head.

that he is said to have suffered the injury in the Ukrainian Luhansk Oblast.
Now he is said to be in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Kadiivka.

However, the incident did not happen during combat operations, but at a checkpoint.
The shot in the head with a small-caliber weapon is said to have taken place at close range.
It is not yet known who the perpetrator is.
However, witnesses claim to have heard "Achmat sila" shouts.
