Tehran-SANA
The head of the Iranian Film Organization, Mohammad Khazaei, confirmed the failure of foreign calls to boycott the Tehran International Film Festival, which began its activities a few days ago.
Khazaee said in a statement today: “Some from outside and inside the country thought that the festival would not take place this year because of these invitations and after the events that Iran witnessed in recent months and the media war that was waged against us to create a new atmosphere in the country, but these invitations failed. This year's festival is more than previous years.
Khazaee explained that the boycott is an illogical policy followed by the weak, pointing out that the enemies are those who call for a boycott of Iranian cinema because they have failed to confront Iran politically, militarily and economically.
