In the evening, fireworks were set off in many places in the North District of the New Territories to celebrate. Among them, the "Folk Fireworks" in Fanling Wai, Sheung Shui, will be played non-stop, starting at 8:00 p.m.

Among them, the "Folk Fireworks" in Fanling Wai, Sheung Shui, started non-stop. From 8 o'clock in the evening, the fireworks in the village continued, and the dark night sky became bright and dazzling.

Until 11 o'clock in the middle of the night, the sound of fireworks still resounded through the night sky, clearly visible in the distance.

It is understood that Fanling Wai held a Lantern Festival party in the evening, and many villagers set off fireworks and "fairy sticks", crowds flocked.

In addition, fireworks and firecrackers were also set off on Gongan Road in Yuen Long near Tin Liu Village and Daqiling.

The police said that they received reports from citizens in the evening, but no one was found after going to the scene for investigation.


According to Article 6 of the Dangerous Goods Ordinance (Chapter 295 of the Laws of Hong Kong), anyone who illegally possesses or discharges fireworks and firecrackers can be fined up to HK$25,000 and imprisoned for 6 months upon conviction.
