Everyone knows how important it is to drink fluids, certainly during the hot summer, but when winter comes, it happens quite a few times that we don't feel thirsty enough - and therefore drink less water.
According to a survey by the Kantar Research Institute carried out for Tami on December 4, 2022, 88% of all consumers testify that during the summer they drink 40% more water than in the winter.
In order for us to get things in order, Dorit Shaltiel, a dietitian at the Strauss group, provided us with 5 reasons why it is important to drink water even in the cold season of the year.

Body temperature regulation:
When it's cold outside, the body starts to regulate its internal heat.
To do this, the body wastes a lot of energy - so it needs to be supplied with enough water to prevent dehydration and to function properly.
Room heating:
Since it is so cold during the winter, we spend most of the day near some kind of heating factor, such as a stove or radiator.
Naturally, the warm environment causes us to lose fluids without even realizing it.
Drinking will actually return fluids to our body, and on that occasion we will contribute to the health of our skin.

Winter illnesses:
colds and flu usually affect our respiratory organs, so they require more fluids to deal with them.
That's why, when you're sick, it's very important to make sure you drink - so that we can fight these annoying diseases.
Feeling thirsty:
sometimes in the summer we sweat a lot even without trying too hard.
In winter, on the other hand, we spend a lot of time in relatively cold places, so we don't feel the need to drink - and correct drinking habits can contribute to exactly that.
Feeling hungry:
since in the winter people tend to stay at home more than during the summer (admit that the rains and the cold don't exactly make you want to go out), we allow ourselves to snack and eat more than usual.
Making sure to drink enough can help the body regulate the feeling of hunger, thus this will contribute to avoiding excess food consumption.
