Today, the Pakistani army announced the death of former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, at the age of 97, in a hospital in Dubai, after a long struggle with illness.
"The senior military leaders express their deepest condolences on the death of General Pervez Musharraf," the news agency AFP quoted the Pakistani army's media office as saying in a statement.
It is noteworthy that the late came to power in 1999, and during his seven-year rule, he oversaw a stage of economic growth, and he survived at least three assassination attempts.
