Occupied Jerusalem - SANA
The Israeli occupation forces continued their siege imposed on the city of Jericho and the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp in the West Bank for the eighth day in a row, since the twenty-ninth of last January.
Wafa News Agency stated that the occupation forces continue to erect checkpoints at the main and secondary entrances to the city, and restrict the movement of Palestinians.
The governor of Jericho and the Jordan Valley, Jihad Abu Al-Assal, said: The occupation forces impede the movement of students, patients, and merchants through their military checkpoints, and continue to raid Palestinian homes and arrest them.
For his part, the Mayor of Jericho, Abdul Karim Sidr, explained that the occupation authorities continue to besiege Jericho and impose a policy of collective punishment on its people, especially in Aqabat Jaber camp, south of the city, which caused great financial losses to farmers, since this period is the peak of the agricultural season.
Yesterday, 13 Palestinians were injured and others were arrested, during the occupation forces’ raid on Aqabat Jaber camp.
