The suspect in the rape will be brought today at noon for the extension of his detention at the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court.
The young man, a 22-year-old resident of the Bedouin diaspora in the Negev, was arrested yesterday in the Hebron area at the end of a police intelligence operation.
He is employed as a construction worker in a project in the city, and according to estimates, he knew that the woman lived alone with her children, so he chose her as his victim.
The rape happened on the night between Thursday and Friday last week.
According to the suspicion, the young man broke into the apartment on the second floor - and raped the woman in front of her children after tying her up.
The woman herself wrote in the neighborhood WhatsApp group: "They broke into my house, they raped me in front of the children. Be careful, close the doors."
