Today, the Pakistani police announced that two militants of the “Pakistani Taliban” movement were killed during a security operation in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Associated Press quoted a provincial police officer as saying in a statement: “Pakistani forces carried out a security operation in the province, which resulted in the killing of two militants, leaders of the “Taliban Pakistan” movement, who were wanted by the security services, in connection with the killing of five policemen and carrying out terrorist attacks. The security forces were prolonged.”
In addition, the Pakistani police arrested four militants during a raid on one of their hideouts in the Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, who were planning to launch terrorist attacks to target the security forces.
The police indicated that during the raid, quantities of explosive materials, grenades, detonators, weapons and ammunition were confiscated.
