Although nearly two decades have passed since the American invasion of Iraq, the crimes committed by the American forces there, and the heavy losses they left among civilians, are still fresh in the memory of Iraqis.

America invaded Iraq under flimsy pretexts, under the pretext of the existence of weapons of mass destruction, which international reports and the United Nations have proven to be non-existent, but the American goal was to enter, occupy and destroy Iraq.

Washington also used internationally prohibited weapons in its war, and caused a lot of damage to the Iraqi people in the economic, cultural and political aspects, in addition to psychological damage, and left the Iraqi people with nothing but woes and destruction.

Not only that, but the American forces used many methods to break the psyche of Iraqis, including arrests and imprisoning people, and among the most famous of these methods is what happened in Abu Ghraib prisons on the outskirts of Baghdad, and Bucca in Basra governorate, in terms of torture against prisoners.

Perhaps the photos, published on the Internet by US soldiers in 2004 in the notorious Abu Ghraib prison, which show soldiers abusing Iraqi detainees, including showing detainees naked, some piled on top of each other, are the best evidence of these crimes.

The United States has proven once again that it does not care about human rights, as it claims, and that it is the one who violates international laws and human rights the most, and remains above the laws and far from responsibility.

The crimes of the American forces in Iraq will remain fresh in everyone’s minds and do not expire by statute of limitations. This is a moral and legal responsibility entrusted to international organizations concerned with human rights, as it would be correct to raise the issue again about this heinous lie that led to a terrible catastrophe in the very near future in the United Nations. Where the development of these events began 20 years ago.

Former US Secretary of State Colin Powell admitted on the 5th of February 2003 during a session of the UN Security Council when he claimed that Iraq had the technology to produce biological weapons, and showed a test tube with white powder to justify the US invasion before he later admitted that he had shown a fake test tube to convince the world of the validity of What I do.

This is how Iraq's possession of weapons of mass destruction is forbidden to be possessed except by the American and Zionist occupiers, and this is how the global system rules by its international laws, and commits crimes while it is reassured that it will remain far from accountability!

Colin Powell's confession came late, after all these victims and after the destruction of Iraq, and the strange thing is that this confession did not move any of the organizations or bodies that crack our heads with talk about human rights and democracy, as if the matter ends with this confession, while work should be done on the necessity of maintaining these The crime is in the memory of humanity and the work to prevent the erasure of the truth about those events, and not to allow those who made these decisions and laid plans, to escape from the court of history, and their names are known.

The deliberate lie led to the destruction of an independent country and its ancient historical monuments, and caused the outbreak of the most difficult humanitarian crisis in the region. Here, the whole world and the United Nations must be reminded of the need to investigate Washington's crimes against humanity, and the politicians who made the decisions must be punished, and they are responsible for millions of deaths. Victims, refugees, shattered destinies, and destroyed nations.

Today, in memory of the American lie, it is also possible to refer to the crimes committed by the American forces in Syria, which are crimes that are no less heinous and harmful than the crimes committed in Iraq and Afghanistan, in addition to the unjust siege and the theft of the goods of the Syrian people. Is it useful to remind the United Nations, its Secretary-General and his envoy to Syria? with all this?
