"Either war or brothers":

The Jewish People's Policy Institute (JPPI) launched a major public campaign calling for dialogue and compromise regarding the legal reform proposed by the new government.

The campaign will be accompanied by billboards, field operations, ads in newspapers and broadcasts on television channels.

The institute is collecting hundreds of thousands of signatures from the public on a public petition calling for negotiations which will be submitted to the president of the country, the chairman of the opposition and the prime minister. A number of prominent public figures have already signed the petition.

The signs that will go up throughout the country will warn of the possibility of a fratricidal war breaking out.

Advertisements will appear in newspapers with quotes from public figures who have already supported the talks, including Benny Gantz, Aryeh Deri, Yair Lapid and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Recently, the institute conducted a significant survey from which there is broad public support for the position of reaching a compromise and dialogue both among those who support the reform and among those who oppose it.

The institute recognizes that in Israel there is a silent majority that fears a fratricidal war and wants the elected officials to enter into a process of negotiation.

At the launch of the campaign, Professor Yedidia Stern, president of the institute, said: "Most Israelis estimate that there is a chance of violence and a third of them fear a fratricidal war."

These are data that we did not know before.

Flashing red light.

Israel knew how to overcome difficult crises in the past;

We will be able to get through the current crisis only through negotiations that will lead to a compromise.

The silent majority must make its voice heard.

The elected officials should also know that it's either war or brothers."
