A strong earthquake hit central Turkey tonight (Monday) and was felt throughout Israel.
The earthquake was felt in the center of the country and especially in the north.
The intensity was 7.9 and at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the GFZ, the Center for Geographical Research in Germany.
Much damage was caused to buildings in Turkey and streets began to be filled with rubble.
A resident of Haifa told Walla: "Because of the strong winds outside, I thought it was the arrival of the storm Barbara, long seconds passed before I realized that the tremor was inside the house."
Aviad of Bnei Brak said: "I started to feel the floor moving under my feet. I thought it was a strange vertigo attack but then I saw that it didn't stop and that all the lamps were starting to move. The Home Front Command issued instructions on the subject according to which one must act when signs of an earthquake are noticed.
Those staying in the building are required to go outside.
