A 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck central Turkey, the US Geological Survey reported.
The epicenter was located 23 kilometers east of the city of Nurdagi and an aftershock of magnitude 6.7 was later recorded.
So far it is unknown if there were fatalities or injuries.
