Senior government officials continue to talk in closed conversations about the legal reform recession.
However, there are different positions regarding its sections - which in their opinion cannot be waived.
One of the senior government ministers told "Israel Hayom" that he believes that down the road it will be possible to consider concessions on parts of the reform.
As a reminder, the main points of the plan promoted by the Minister of Justice Levin and the Chairman of the Constitutional Committee Rotman, include a redefinition of the status of the legal advisor to the government, the legislation of the superseding clause, the elimination of the reason of reasonableness and a fundamental change in the way judges are selected.

According to the senior minister, the most significant element of the plan, which must not be abandoned in any case, is the change in the selection of judges and the reason for this is sectarian discrimination.
"Nowadays, anyone can reach any position in Israel regardless of their background, except judicial positions. You can be chief of staff, a minister, a tycoon, a scientist or a media person.
The only place where there is still not equal opportunity for all is the judgment seat.
Therefore, this matter must be stood up in any case," said the senior minister. According to him, "maybe there will be other things that can be given up, not this one."
"get under the stretcher"
In the meantime, yesterday (Sunday) President Yitzhak Herzog hosted soldiers from Golani Air Force Base in his residence. Herzog emphasized the situation in the State of Israel by using the metaphor of "getting under the stretcher". "It could be in a stretcher race or in the process of carrying the stretcher.
If someone takes the stretcher too far to the right or too far to the left, the stretcher may fall.
If someone abandons the stretcher, it may fall.
This is how I see Israel."

Herzog recently approached the various parties discussing the legal reform and offered them a compromise outline to resolve the crisis, it was reported on Thursday evening on News 12. However, those around Justice Minister Levin said that "there will not be a freeze on legislation even for a minute."
Herzog proposed to the parties to freeze the legislation for the reform of the judicial system for 14 days and to open negotiations without preconditions at the President's House by an agreed team or committee.
The president told the parties that if the negotiations fail, the legislation will be renewed and if agreements are reached, the law will be put to a vote.
