A 42-year-old individual, subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF), was arrested and placed in police custody on the night of Saturday to Sunday after a burglary on a yacht in the Camille Rayon port, in Golf Juan, near Cannes,
a police source
told
Le Figaro on Monday.
The incident happened shortly before 5 a.m.
It was an employee of the boat, probably alerted by the noise, who surprised the forty-year-old - whose nationality is unknown - in full flight.
At the sight of the steward, the latter immediately set sail, disappearing in the dark.
Alerted, the harbor master's office had no trouble identifying the suspect on the south quay, thanks, among other things, to the reading of CCTV images.

The burglar was finally arrested without difficulty by a crew from the intervention and emergency police service of the national police.
On him, the agents discovered several watches, some jewelry, foreign currency, a pocket containing many coins and computer equipment.
He was taken to the premises of the Urban Security and placed in police custody.
His audition was still ongoing Monday morning.
