Latakia - SANA
The values of brotherhood, intimacy, love, interdependence, and unity of destiny have been proven by the Syrians throughout the years of the crisis, and today the spirit of humanitarian work mobilizes everyone, young and old, to stand together in the face of the human, material and psychological damage left by the earthquake.
In the town of al-Qanjara in the northern countryside of Lattakia, about seven kilometers from its center, the youth of the village spent hours of continuous work in cooperation with those in charge of the charitable association in the town to set up two tents in the public square of the village with a number of chairs and heating equipment.
Mukhtar al-Qanjara, Ibrahim Radwan, said in a statement to SANA reporter that this initiative is nothing but a humble gesture through which we wanted to be a help and support for those of our brothers who have been affected.
Ali Hammad Abu Nadim, a resident of the village, explained that the idea aims to provide a safe place to receive people or families whose homes have been damaged or have cracks or cracks, or who are afraid of staying at home in light of the current conditions, from the residents of the village, the villages of Janata, Baksa and the neighboring areas.
In a similar step, the owner of Al-Khawaja Restaurant in the village announced the preparation and opening of the restaurant's hall to receive the people, and the owner of Al-Qanater Restaurant opened one of the restaurant's halls for those wishing to stay there, as a precaution and caution in the event of any emergency.
