Offered at the RM Sotheby's sale organized on Wednesday February 1st on the sidelines of the Retromobile show, the Bugatti Chiron Profiled was the last opportunity to be able to acquire a model from the Chiron range limited to 500 vehicles.
Indeed, all vehicles, including the Mistral roadster which will be produced in 99 units, are sold.
This explains why amateurs fought over the beauty, pushing the auction up to nearly 10 million euros (9,792,500 euros), or double the initial estimate.
It must be said that the Chiron Profilée, which was presented on December 7 in Molsheim during a dinner reserved for a few handpicked journalists, displays some singularities.

From the Pur Sport, which was developed to maximize performance, particularly on the circuit, with shorter gearbox ratios limiting the top speed to 350 km/h, lateral acceleration increased by 10% and a spoiler of approximately 1, 9 meters wide, the Profiled plays the card of elegance.
Thus around a particularly refined two-tone sky blue "Atlantic Silver" and navy blue dress, the Profile features a fixed rear spoiler equipped with a hollow section to let the hot air escape from the W16 with four turbos of 1,500 horsepower.
The rims, which are also specific, take up the horseshoe design of the manufacturer's logo.

The very tasteful interior is coordinated with the bodywork.
The Profile inaugurates a woven leather finish on the dashboard, door panels and center console.
In total, more than 2,500 meters of leather strips were needed to create this intricate rendering.
La Profilée is equipped with comfort seats in “Gris Rafale” and “Deep Blue” leather, featuring the quilted pattern named “Air Parade”.
A black anodized frame embedded in the center console also bears the “Profilée” signature, the final touch to this absolutely unique creation.
Compared to the Pur Sport, the top speed has been raised to 380 km/h.
It was only at the end of its manufacture and after the testing and validation stages that Bugatti decided to auction the Profiled, to the delight of a collector.
A percentage of the sale was donated to charity.
