Carlos Dada: El Salvador dismantled gangs at the expense of democracy and citizen rights

Carlos Dada, journalist and director of El Faro —a digital outlet in El Salvador— talks with Carmen Aristegui about the recently published report 'Bukele's regime dismantles gangs in El Salvador'.

Dada explains that the emergency regime managed to dismantle the structures under which the gangs operated, but that the cost of the measure has been the dismantling of democracy and the rule of law.
