China has expressed its readiness to send urgent humanitarian aid to Syria, to counter the effects of the earthquake that struck it at dawn today.
Xinhua news agency quoted a spokesperson for the Chinese International Development Cooperation Agency, Xu Wei, as saying today that Beijing is ready to provide urgent humanitarian aid to Syria, according to the needs.
Wei expressed China's condolences to the families of the victims, and its concern about the loss of life and property, noting that it is in contact with Syria.
