Hong Kong has fully cleared customs today (6th). No appointment is required for crossing the border and a negative nucleic acid test certificate is required. The Luohu Port will also be reopened after three years.
The Secretary for Security, Tang Bingqiang, inspected the operation of the Luo Wu Port on the first day today, describing it as having reached the "return to normal stage".
He said that as of 12:00 noon, a total of 83,000 passengers traveled southward and northward, and the largest number of them used the Luohu Lake crossing, with a record of 14,000, while the newly opened Xiangyuanwei crossing point had 1,400 passengers.

The Secretary for Security, Tang Bingqiang, listened to the immigration staff's report on the cooperation situation in Luohu, chatted with one of the Northbound residents, and inspected the "e-Channel" and the manned check-in counter successively.
He pointed out that as of 12:00 noon, a total of about 83,000 passengers used various land ports to cross the border, a total of 50,000 passengers went north through various land ports, and 33,000 passengers went south through various land ports.
No matter if you go south or go north, 80% of them are Hong Kong people.
Among the northward flow of people, the largest number of people used the Luohu Port to transit, with 14,000 people; followed by the Lok Ma Chau Branch Line/Futian Port, with about 10,000 people; as for the Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Port, 1,400 people went north.
Deng Bingqiang pointed out that all ports have been operating smoothly so far, and reminded Hong Kong people to fill in a health declaration form when entering the mainland. Relevant government departments and the MTR have also set up a care team to assist those in need with health declarations.
Deng Bingqiang continued to point out that he is discussing with the mainland to find the fastest and simplified method to make travel more convenient and smooth for passengers.
He also said that normal manpower has been restored to assist citizens entering and exiting the country, and the disciplined forces have also added additional manpower to cope with the sudden increase in the flow of people.
Deng Bingqiang said that no parallel import activities in Sheung Shui have been found so far. Deng pointed out that relevant departments have stepped up inspections and law enforcement actions, but emphasized that the authorities will not take it lightly.

Acting Chief Executive Chen Guoji also inspected the Lo Wu control point this morning (6th), accompanied by Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Lam Sai-hung, Secretary for Education, Cai Ruolian, and Deputy Secretary for Security, Zhuo Xiaoye.
He listened to the reports of the different links involved in customs clearance from the on-site colleagues, and talked with citizens. He also pointed out that relevant departments have posted customs clearance tips at appropriate locations at the ports, coordinated manpower, and reminded passengers to complete health declarations in advance.
