Tartous governorate has formed an operations room for rapid response as a result of the prevailing natural and weather conditions and to follow up on any emergency, in a manner that guarantees the continued provision of services to citizens.
The committee, which was formed during a meeting held by the Governor of Tartous Abdel Halim Khalil today with the directors of public construction companies, technical services, water resources, water, electricity and communications, comes within the state of alert and full readiness of the engineering mechanisms of the various institutions and their cadres announced by the governorate, in a manner that guarantees a speedy response and intervention to face emergency situations.
In turn, the head of the readiness department in Tartous governorate, Yasser Dayoub, pointed out in a statement to SANA reporter that the rapid response operations room has set phone numbers around the clock, for citizens to communicate with the concerned authorities directly in the event of damages as a result of successive tremors, which is the readiness department in the governorate 0996524524 Civil Defense Pentagon 56571, Triple 109, Ground 2210468, and Tartous City Council 0933438240, 0933361900, and 0944224435.
The Tartous governorate provided support to the governorates of Lattakia, Aleppo and Hama with engineering vehicles and ambulances to provide them with assistance, following the earthquake that occurred at dawn today, which resulted in casualties and material damage recorded in those governorates.
