And: Never have to land again after take-off.

San Bruno - Some call it the "new Titanic" - the "flying hotel" could hardly be more futuristic.

Its inventor, the Yemeni science journalist Hashem Al-Ghaili, has an extraordinary vision: a luxury liner for the skies that will never touch the ground again once it takes off – powered by “clean” nuclear energy.

Al-Ghaili believes his cruise ship could be "the travel of the future" for the sky, as reported by kreiszeitung.de.

Thanks to nuclear technology, gigantic flying hotel should never land again after take-off

On YouTube, the only 31-year-old presents the "flying hotel" Sky Cruise on his channel.

But his project is not just at the beginning of his considerations, he is presenting an almost finished concept for a "flying hotel" including the technology.

According to this, nuclear engines ensure that the aircraft with up to 5,000 passengers never has to land again, even boarding and repairs to the vehicle should take place directly in the air.

The solar car Aptera, which can drive up to 80 kilometers a day using only solar power, also promises endless energy.

For 5,000 guests: swimming pool, cinemas and a shopping center - the cruise ship of the air

In Al-Ghaili's concept, there is not only space for guests and crew on the Sky Cruise, but also shopping centers, fitness studios, swimming pools, restaurants, bars, playgrounds for children, theaters and cinemas are to be integrated into the "flying hotel".

In addition, guests should be able to use an elevator to switch between the main level and a 360-degree viewing platform on the tail fin.

That alone shows the dimension that the "flying hotel" would have.

It would undoubtedly be by far the largest aircraft ever.

No less creative, but on a smaller scale, was a young researcher who invented a motorbike powered by salt water.

Researcher promises "clean" nuclear energy and autonomous flying

But what training does someone who would want to control such a machine need?

Al-Ghaili has heard this question before: “All this technology and you still want a pilot?

I'm sure it will fly completely autonomously.” The energy is to be supplied by 20 turbines which, with the help of the latest nuclear technology, will enable permanent flight.

Futuristic energy is penetrating our everyday lives more and more, so in Germany the first houses are already being built with 3D printers.

With nuclear energy: "Flying Hotel" Sky Cruise with 5000 passengers to fly forever

But given the radioactive pollution, how can nuclear energy even be the future?

After all, history has taught man that few forms of energy are as dangerous as nuclear power.

But according to Al-Ghaili, nuclear power has now been researched so far that a super meltdown is ruled out.

In addition, the technology as a whole is particularly safe, efficient and space-saving.

Only recently did the TÜV in Germany send a signal in favor of nuclear power, and the EU has already announced that it intends to classify nuclear power as sustainable.

"Great idea": 30 million followers and a science journalist is ridiculed online

There are still doubts among his followers.

A user on Facebook wrote: "Great idea to put a nuclear reactor in something that could fail and fall out of the sky".

Many users obviously do not want to fully trust the promises of "clean" nuclear energy.

Another suggests that even if the plan goes ahead, it's only for the rich: "I'm sure I could afford a bottom-deck ticket with no legroom and no lounge access."

Futuristic “Flying Hotel” Sky Cruise is just a concept so far

In the near future, the "flying hotel" will remain just a concept anyway.

But how realistic is the implementation?

It would then probably be one of the most expensive projects that mankind has ever tackled.

Al-Ghaili, who incidentally studied molecular biology in Bremen, is no stranger either.

After all, he has more than 30 million followers on Facebook, whom he regularly inspires with scientific content.

At least its reach could be big enough to make a serious difference.

The question remains as to who could have a serious interest in the “flying hotel”.

Users only suspect the hotel as an excuse: "Spaceship that will save us all in the end?"

But could the interest be something completely different and maybe Al-Ghaili doesn't have a hotel in mind at all?

At least that's what one user thinks on Facebook, he suspects a secret plan behind the "flying hotel".

"It reminds me extremely of Wall-E's spaceship.

Is this really supposed to be a hotel or is it a spaceship that will save us all in the end?”

"Flying Hotel" is reminiscent of the rescue spaceship in the children's film "Wall-E"

Indeed, the flying cruise ship is very reminiscent of the spaceship in the 2008 children's film Wall-E, in which people are forced to leave Earth and shift their lives to a spaceship indefinitely , because the planet became uninhabitable.

The offer on the spaceship in the animated film is quite similar to what Al-Ghaili envisioned for his "flying hotel."

Just recently, Greta Thunberg also warned of the "abyss" of the world at the well-known Glastonbury Festival in England.

Researchers from the “Club of Rome”, who expect an apocalypse in the world as early as 2040, came to a similar assessment.

So it remains to be seen whether the "flying hotel" could really play a role in the survival of mankind, as the user suspects.

For the time being, however, it remains just a mind game.
