Aleppo Governor Hussein Diab confirmed that, in response to the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, all teams and capabilities of the civil defense, firefighting, health, public construction companies and their branches, and all service institutions in the governorate were mobilized to continue the operations of removing rubble and aiding the wounded and the injured.
Diab said in a statement to Al-Souria TV: “60 deaths, 270 injuries, and the complete collapse of 40 buildings were recorded, indicating that this outcome is not final and that rescue operations are continuing throughout the city of Aleppo to secure the needs of all citizens.
Diab indicated that a meeting was held with the Relief Committee to secure relief materials and shelters for citizens whose homes were destroyed, as about 125 homes were secured in the city of Hanano, and all affected citizens will be secured in several other areas.
Diab pointed out that the governorate has formed an integrated operations room, and all police and military units are ready around the clock to receive distress calls through the emergency committee in the governorate.
