Opinion The battle of the titans that must not be decided Israel today

They are so sure - that they align themselves with the message of the team they belong to, even if they think that maybe their boxer is wrong and his coach is leading him down a dead end road

The arena is surrounded by ropes, that's how boxing is.

On the one hand - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, supported by his coach, Justice Minister Yariv Levin, and his assistant coach, the chair of the Constitutional Committee Simcha Rothman.

On the other side is the legal adviser to the government Gali Beharve-Miara, with her deputy Gil Limon by her side, and from the side watching and supporting the President of the Supreme Court, Judge Ester Hayut.

The noise in the hall is deafening, so that sometimes the boxers have difficulty hearing the instructions of the referee and trainers.

They jump on the spot, send warm-up fists in the air and shouts of "cheers" to the crowd that came to watch the fight.

The crowd split into two.

On one side - 63 members of the Knesset from the coalition, government ministers and a host of Norwegian MKs. On the other side - economics and high-tech people, former supreme judges and leaders of the opposition, and of course - the redhead from the movement for the quality of government.

On the right side of the hall are convinced that Netanyahu loves them true love.

that all that guides him is their good.

their welfare.

The desire to make Israel a better place.

They are so sure of it - that they align themselves with the message of the group they belong to.

Even if they think that maybe their boxer is wrong and his coach is leading him down a dead end road, they are afraid to deviate from the message.

They know that any deviation will lead to their being banned from the group, and that they will have to pay a heavy personal price.

Since joining the scene, Netanyahu has managed to create a group of believers around him - whoever they say "cult" - who forgive him for everything, for every statement, for inaccuracies in details, for egoism, for hedonism and for preferring his family over each and every one of his constituents and the citizens of Israel.

No wonder more than a million Likud voters, MKs, mayors, industrialists and right-wing economists do not openly oppose the reform.

This week former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was interviewed, and he pointed to his main point of failure that led to the downfall of his government - the exclusion of anyone who admires Netanyahu.

According to him, those people could not forgive him for forming a government without the leader's loyalists.

There aren't too many question marks on the other side of the ring either.

There are also many exclamation points and a feeling that the whole truth is on their side.

They agree that the judicial system needs to be reformed, but do not necessarily say what and how.

Mostly "no and no and no" to what is on the table.

The problem on this side of the arena is that they don't have someone like Netanyahu.

One that everyone is willing to die for.

Without a choice, the ombudswoman became the leader. So the one who was initially "Beharb-Miara, who is she?" - reluctantly became the leader.

In the opinion that she submitted to the government, she also indicated the way to go, and suggested that the work be centralized in her office.

Reached out for the changes.

In response, an attack of rage was launched from the other side.

Netanyahu didn't have to say anything - his mouthpieces did.

"Fire her!", they cried.

"Who is she to say anything?!".

The sound of the gong is heard.

Clash of the Titans.

In this battle one side must not lose.

The two boxers should remain standing on their feet, and understand that they must compromise for the sake of continuing their common life together in this country.
