A total non-refusal of everything that is said, like support and agreement. There is no "yes, but" here. Against such statements, there is only one option: explicit, absolute condemnation, without any addition

The frenzy of inflammatory statements heard in recent months, in which each speaker escalates the descriptions of the previous one, led to what happened this weekend: a call to assassinate the Prime Minister.

And no, it's not about sleepy fringes or an extreme case - on the contrary, it's "my dear son" of the camp opposed to the government.

Therefore, it should be clearly said: this is the stage where a total non-disavowal of everything that is said is equivalent to support and agreement.

There is no "yes, but" here.

Against such statements, there is only one option: explicit, absolute condemnation, without any addition.

This is the moment when this inciting group and its leaders must take responsibility for their words and stop it immediately.

Even before the elections, Benny Gantz announced: "If Netanyahu forms a government in 1961, I ask you to call me for an interview summarizing the state."

What does this mean?

That if the people elect a right-wing government, it is by definition dangerous for the existence of the state?

After the elections, Yair Golan explained: "I warned about processes, and they are happening faster than I thought."

In the process speech, as I recall, he referred to Europe and Germany before the Holocaust.

And if that wasn't enough, he now also called for action: "Comrades and comrades, against the malicious government there is only one way - a large-scale civil uprising."

Those statements were joined in recent weeks by other dangerous statements by the people of this camp: "burn the streets", "blood will be spilled", "poison beads" and "firing squad".

All these and more, alongside the continued normalization of the unimaginable term - "fraternal war".

Yes, it is always said with a certain condition - "if the government does so", and if "an illegal order is given" - but the message is clear: it will lead to violence.

And this violence, therefore, will be justified.

Last week, Attorney David Hodak said the following: "The government does not understand the energy levels in the Israeli public, and the level of opposition to this destructive legislative program.

People are ready to fight with weapons, so everyone is shocked.

how do i say

If they drag me there - that's what I'll do." He did not quickly retract his words. Only after a few days, and perhaps in light of the calls for his arrest, a "clarification" message was issued (we were the ones who misunderstood him). Needless to say, until the moment of writing these lines, No one was arrested. Nevertheless, he is not an ultra-Orthodox lawyer who was taken for questioning on the spot on Shabbat in front of her children, because of the statement: "a legal case, shame."

More it incites and it comes.

At the end of the week, Ehud Barak put up a post, in which appeared the picture of the country's president, Boji Herzog, in the image of Chamberlain.

Something that immediately led to the completion of the second part of the parable: Are Netanyahu and his government the Nazis?

The public indignation led Barak to apologize for "choosing the picture", but an explicit apology for the implied comparison between Netanyahu and his voters and the Nazis?

No.

A few days before, Barak wrote in a similar manner, without a picture: "Any discussion with him (with Netanyahu) is a Weimar mistake. Fascism. We need to overthrow, not save."

The Bozes this time are Weimar, and Netanyahu and his voters remain fascists.

In this context, Ze'ev Raz's post was written: "I am amazed by the moderation of Hodak's wording. Only defensiveness with weapons? Passive? Cheering for the dead. If a prime minister stands up and arrogates dictatorial powers to himself - this prime minister is a mortal. Simply put, along with his ministers And do what he says... My persecuting law says: If a person, foreign or Israeli, takes over my country, and leads it in an undemocratic way - it is mandatory to kill him."

The post was indeed removed following the public outcry, but the danger of incitement remains, and it requires a collective appeal to all those involved: if you do not condemn the things, because they are not serious enough in your opinion - you have lost your way.

And if you don't condemn the things even though they are serious, because God forbid you are interested in further escalating the situation - you have lost your sanity.

One way or another, the incitement must stop.
