Russian President Vladimir Putin offered his condolences to President Bashar al-Assad for the victims of the earthquake that struck Syria at dawn today, expressing his readiness to help in facing the repercussions of the disaster.
“Dear Mr. President, I would like to extend my sincere condolences for the tragic consequences of the earthquake that hit the northern regions of Syria, and we share the grief and pain of those who lost loved ones. We wish a speedy recovery to all the injured, and we are ready to provide the necessary assistance to eliminate the consequences,” said a telegram posted on the Kremlin’s website today.
