The Chinese Red Cross Society decided to donate 200,000 US dollars in cash to the Syrian Red Crescent Organization, as emergency humanitarian aid due to the devastating earthquake that struck Syria at dawn today.
Xinhua news agency quoted Chen Zhou, head of the Chinese Red Cross Society, as saying in a sympathy message he sent to the Syrian Red Crescent: “The Chinese Society is following up relief work in the areas affected by the violent earthquake, and pledges to provide more humanitarian aid if necessary.”
