Ramón Dupuy approached the Dolores courts to accompany the parents of the young man murdered in Villa Gesell

Ramón Dupuy, grandfather of Lucio Dupuy, came to the Dolores court to accompany the parents of Fernando Báez Sosa in the reading of the verdict in the trial against the eight rugby players accused of the crime of the 18-year-old boy.

There he embraced Graciela Sosa, mother of the murdered boy, in a long hug before the start of the hearing.

In a brief dialogue with the press, Ramón commented that he had promised Graciela that he would be present this day.

"I came to say hello, hopefully it will be an exemplary ruling

," Ramón asked.

He arrived a little before noon at the Oral Criminal Court (TOC) 1 in the city of Dolores, wearing a T-shirt with Fernando's face, an Argentine flag and a message of support:

"Flia Dupuy accompanies you."

According to what he said, they met with Báez Sosa's parents last year in Congress, where they had a dialogue about their cases.

Ramón commented that he had been following the case

of the young man's death in recent years, which occurred in January 2020.

"We came to accompany. Hopefully they give them the sentence they deserve, hopefully it will be like that," asked Ramón, who later opined that the sentence "

should be life imprisonment."

Asked what he thinks of Argentine justice, Ramón remained silent for a moment.

"Speechless,

" he said, before leaving.

When asked about the case of his grandson's murder, he said that he would not talk about the case.

Last week,

the La Pampa court had found the two defendants guilty,

Magdalena Espósito Valenti (25) and Abigail Páez (28), although the sentence will finally be known on February 16.

The Dupuy family had also requested life imprisonment.

After speaking to the press, Dupuy was able to meet Graciela and Silvino at a nearby cafe.

There he gave a long hug with her mother,

before exchanging a few words in private.

Fernando's parents did not speak to the press prior to the start of the last hearing, where the sentences will be read.

However, in the previous days they asked for an "exemplary sentence".

In the trial they had asked for the sentence of 'life imprisonment'.

In this sense, in an interview with C5N broadcast this Sunday, both remarked that they have expectations that they will all be sentenced to life imprisonment and asked the judges that "

when they read the verdict they give Fernando the opportunity that he did not have

when he was there lying on the floor".

And he added: "I hope that justice is exemplary, that it not only marks a before but that it is also for the after. We are already condemned to suffer with this pain forever.

That they give them the maximum sentence is what we all hope for, and that This won't happen again

. "
