The police believe that an argument over a sex video ended in the murder of a minor in Ceuta

Mohamed Ali, 17, was allegedly beaten to death by three friends who feared he would spread the recordings. The remains found in a ravine are still being analyzed

Asma, the mother of Mohamed Ali Lamsseyeh, who disappeared a year ago in Ceuta at the age of 17, never believed that her son had gone voluntarily to the Peninsula or to France, as was rumored around him.

The woman has spent the last 12 months collaborating with the homicide and disappeared agents of the National Police of the autonomous city.

Now, finally, the investigators believe they have clarified the crime: on January 30, three of Mohamed Ali's friends were handcuffed: a 30-year-old man;

his girlfriend, 18, and a 17-year-old boy, alleged material author.

The main hypothesis is that they killed him because he had a sex tape in his possession that compromised one of those now arrested.

On January 13, 2022, Mohamed did not go to pick up his mother at work as arranged.

He also did not answer calls to his cell phone nor had they seen him in his neighborhood, in the El Gallo neighborhood.

The days passed and the searches and raids began, in which family and friends participated;

also those now detained.

No sign.

It was not until months later that the police allegedly heard from Mohamed again: "They located him in Malaga, where his mobile phone was located," say sources of the investigation.

However, over time and successive investigations, they discovered that those were false leads: "Interestingly, we discovered that, at the same time that Mohamed's phone located him in Malaga, those of some of his friends also appeared positioned in the same place".

Thus began a stealthy investigation of those friends, the last ones he was with the day he disappeared and whose positions also placed them in the ravine where human remains were found on February 2.

Those remains are now being analyzed to confirm if they correspond to Mohamed Ali.

At the same time, the "friends" were spreading rumors about his whereabouts: "Going so far as to say that he practiced prostitution on the Peninsula, and even in France," sources from the investigation point out.

The National Police inspects with the three detainees for the crime of Mohamed Ali the place where he was allegedly killed a year ago.

Investigation

The agents responsible for the case believe that "they beat him to death."

The reason?

“He had some compromised recordings, some videos of a sexual nature of the minor investigated, which he feared he could spread and, above all, that they could be seen by his father, a man who has been in search and capture for years for belonging to a criminal organization”, explain the same sources.

The investigators' hypothesis is that it was the minor of the detainees who killed Mohamed, and that "the other two helped him."

Then they got rid of the body together, in the ravine where the remains have now been found.

After collapsing during police interrogations, the two arrested adults confirmed that there had been an argument and that Mohamed had been thrown down the ravine.

Accompanied by their lawyers, they led the agents "to the exact place where they threw him, although they had to go down with a rope up to 25 meters to locate him," sources from the investigation point out.

Supposedly, "they took Mohamed Ali there in a vehicle, they argued because they asked him to give them the videos, Mohamed didn't give them and they ended up killing him," summarize sources in the case.

The three detainees for the crime, accused of a crime of disappearance and another of homicide, went to court on February 1, two of them before the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office and one before the duty court.

Subsequently, the judge decreed prison for the three.

This is the second violent death of a minor that the police have clarified in Ceuta in recent weeks.

On January 18, 34-year-old Cristian BP was arrested, investigated for murder and possible sexual assault against eight-year-old Mohamed Abdeselam.
