The Deputy Head of the Spiritual Department of Russia's Muslims, Mufti Eldar Alaudinov, expressed his condolences and sympathy to the Syrian people and the families of the victims and those affected by the earthquake that struck Syria at dawn today.
“In the name of the believers in Russia and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and to all those who suffered from this tragedy, and to inspire them patience and solace to bear this affliction,” Novosti news agency quoted Alaeddinov as saying.
Alaeddinov pointed out that the Zakat Charitable Foundation of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia announced the organization of a donation campaign to help those affected by the earthquake in Syria, pointing out that charitable projects are directed to all people from all countries of the world.
