The Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, MK Nissim Vatori of the Likud, tonight (Tuesday) removed MK Ofer Kasif from the speaker's podium in the Knesset plenum following his call for "Citizens", even though there is no clause or provision that allows this.
"I ask you to repeat yourself Speaking to Meri Tziri, this is not acceptable in the Israeli Knesset," Vettori said while presiding over the night session in the plenum. MK Kasif replied: "You won't tell me what to say."
Vettori insisted: "It is written in the regulations", and Kasif responded: "I know the regulations, it is not written" and continued his words.
Vettori insisted on this and announced: "Get him off the stand", while calling the ushers to do so.
"You are not a censor, and you will not tell me what to say. You will not shut me up."

Members of Knesset who were present in the plenum, such as MK Aida Toma Suleiman: "Why is he taking him down?
What is?
Study the regulations before you go up to preside over the yeshiva." MK Walid Al-Huashla of Ra'am also came to Kassif's defense: "The section in the regulations talks about inappropriate speech." Vettori continued to insist: "You will not call Mary a citizen and you will not say fascists."

While the Knesset members were arguing, the ushers in the plenum tried to pull Kasif from the podium and MK Almog Cohen from Otzma Yehudit joined the confrontation: "Go home" and MK Kasif responded to him: "Go away, fascist."
Cohen later claimed that Kasif called him: "son of a whore", during the confrontation between them.
After five minutes, when he had already been taken down from the podium, Casif shouted at Vettori: "Zero from zero, you idiot" and the latter replied again: "You will not call Mary citizens and you will not say fascists."
MK Ahmed Tibi, who was present at the plenary, asked the deputy chairman if it was not necessary to expel MK Cohen from the plenary after he called one of the Arab MKs "animal" in Arabic, Waturi also expelled him from the plenary.
