"Everyone is guilty."

The message arrives by WhatsApp when the shock is still going on.

It is written by María, one of the mothers of the division of the Marianista school that Fernando Báez Sosa attended about the verdict after the trial for the murder that occurred three years ago in Villa Gesell and shook the entire community of

the Marianista de Caballito school.

This Monday afternoon, and once the ruling that sentenced

five of the defendants

to life imprisonment , and the other 3 to 15 years in prison, is read, heard and

felt the repercussions

.

In the expressions there are those who do not agree because they expected "perpetual for all".

Others analyze the situation and share their assessment.

"At least

everyone will have their sentence,"

they say, in what seems to be the most shared thought.

But in all the messages that are read and heard

, sadness remains, which does not go away.

The impact caused by the crime, on January 18, 2020, mobilized students, parents, alumni and school managers.

The repercussions that the case generated in society had its epicenter in the school community, which

was moved like never before.

Since the tragic January 18, 2020 there have been demonstrations of anger, pain and sadness;

but also solidarity actions and collective mobilizations.

Until this Monday, when the reading of the verdict marks an important milestone in history, but it does not silence the impotence for

a death that should not have happened.

In the corridors and doors of the Marianista de Caballito school, the posters calling for "Justice for Fernando" are repeated.

“We, as a community, never said that justice was perpetual, it is not up to us to solve that.

But we did

maintain that it was good that the sentence was exemplary,"

Marcos Romero, rector of the school, told

Clarín

, adding: "It is an

ambivalent

feeling .

There is some satisfaction because a punishment was reached.

But

we don't stop being sad.

We believe that the sentence will bring some peace to Graciela and Silvino, Fernando's parents.

But ultimately

we are sad because Fernando is not here and will not return.

Among the parents of the school there are WhatsApp groups that were created almost at the same time that the murder occurred.

In three years, they were activated for marches, community actions and whenever there was news regarding the cause.

The messages increased during the trial.

And this weekend, in advance of the reading of the verdict,

photos and memories of Fernando were shared.

For example, from the preview of the trip from Miramar to Gesell, before the tragic January 18.

Or when he went to school and participated in solidarity projects.

This Monday, as in the rest of the educational institutions, the Marianista school resumed activity after the summer break.

The traditional welcome meeting for the teachers was held

and the day began with a prayer in which Fernando was remembered

and that today would be the reading of the verdict.

It is that his presence is constant.

The photo of him, with the request for "justice", is on the glass door that faces Rivadavia avenue.

Also in the corridors, in the family cars, and in the neighborhood shops.

Clarín

was able to learn that professors and teachers did not stay to see the reading of the verdict at school, since the activity ended earlier.

But there were executives, among whom was the person who was Báez Sosa's tutor during his last year at school, who

traveled to Dolores to be with his family before and after the hearing.

Graciela and Silvino were calm.

Later, before the media, they said they wanted a life sentence for everyone.

"I feel

a bit of peace in my heart

knowing that my son's murderers were sentenced," Graciela declared.

"What we wanted to do at this time was

accompany Graciela and Silvino

, and also the former students who were Fernando's classmates and were with him that day, in this difficult time that they had to live because of the tragedy," reflects Romero. , and adds: “That is why, when they have proposed actions, we join them.

Thus, we went to Congress, then we did a mass on Fernando's birthday and even the food drive, which had unexpected results, a few weeks ago.

Our goal is to be a community in good times, but

especially in difficult times.

We will continue to accompany him at all times, and especially when there are actions that serve to remember him for his way of being and his solidarity aspect ".
