: Dozens of people who were trapped under the ruins of their homes in the east of the country turned to social networks in a call for help and tried to contact the outside world, sharing the horrifying experience with the surfers.
Surfer Dafna Palen, a resident of the city of Antakya in Hatay province in southeastern Turkey, who was trapped in the ruins of her home, wrote on the social network: "It's hard for me to write, my condition is bad, I can't stand it anymore, my eyes won't close, I'm going to die here."
After that, the surfer stopped tweeting and it is not known what happened to her.
Rescue operations following the earthquake
Another surfer, identified only as "Saima", tweeted: "I'm here with my family. We can't leave", she wrote and provided her address for the rescue forces.
At four o'clock in the morning Lefno Tavkur recently tweeted: "We are still trapped. The walls are going to fall on us. My battery is low."

In other cases, the rescue forces were able to reach civilians trapped under the rubble.
Surfer Oguz Sorar tweeted his address and announced that he and his family were trapped in the ruins of their home in the city of Antakya.
A few hours later he tweeted: "Me, my mother and my brother survived. But my father is still trapped in the rubble, help me, his condition is very serious."

Another surfer contacted the rescue forces directly.
A citizen named Aseil, who was trapped under the ruins in Hatay district, tagged one of the founders of the rescue organizations in the country on the social network Facebook and wrote him her address and that she was trapped under the ruins.
The senior responded to her words "Dear Aseil, save your battery. We are on our way."
In another case, which received a lot of publicity in the country, Pirat Yayela went live on the Internet and called for help in a heartbreaking plea.
"Please help us. My house was destroyed in the earthquake. I don't know if my mother is okay. She doesn't answer me anymore."
Thousands of surfers shared Yayela's live broadcast and it was reported on the news website of the newspaper "Horite" that an effort is underway to rescue her.
