"I really appreciate my audience, and I've always believed in complete transparency," Sandler wrote in the background of a video of himself from the recording studio.
"I read some of your responses, and it is important for me to clarify that 'Rumors' was written a long time ago, when the word 'breakup' was not even in my lexicon yet," he explained.

"My writing is influenced by many factors in my life, and when a personal song is written about my relationship, you will be the first to know," he promised his followers.
"Until then, it is important for me to emphasize that I value and cherish the relationship we had (meaning the relationship with Zeke; 14), and the parting was done in a manner respectful of both parties," he shared the way in which the decision to sever the romantic relationship was made.
