In the aftermath of the demonstration against the pension reform, a procession of another type risks creating major traffic jams this Wednesday

Traffic conditions are unlikely to improve this Wednesday morning in the south-west of the capital.

After a day of traffic jams linked to the strike in transport against the pension reform on Tuesday, motorists who will circulate in the sector must expect new traffic difficulties: a parade of tractors which will circulate in procession of the device south to the outskirts of the Ministry of Agriculture in the 7th arrondissement.

The demonstration is organized by the National Federation of Farmers' Unions protesting against the ban on neonicotinoids in beet farming.

According to the Paris police headquarters, which will put in place a specific traffic device around the event, traffic could be very disrupted by the procession of tractors "from dawn this Wednesday, February 8".

Convoys from the A13, A10, A6 and A4 motorways will take the outer ring road to the Quai d'Issy exit, as well as the inner ring road to the Porte de la Plaine exit, and park, from 7 a.m., on boulevards Victor, Martial-Valin, Lefebvre, avenue de la Porte de la Plaine and rue du Général-Guillaumat in the 15th arrondissement.

They will park on the Esplanade des Invalides

All the demonstrators in tractors should gather at the southern gates of Paris around 8 am.

The procession - the extent of which remains unknown for the time being - will then take the direction of the Esplanade des Invalides, taking rue de Vaugirard, boulevard Pasteur, avenue de Suffren and avenue de La Motte-Picquet. .

Agricultural machinery will be parked in the square all morning.

The dispersal of the rally is planned for the beginning of the afternoon, specifies the police headquarters.

And the exit of tractors from the capital could cause the same slowdowns as their arrival.

To reach the various "return" motorways, the convoy will take the Quai d'Orsay to reach the ring road at the Quai d'Issy.

The police headquarters indicates that normal traffic will be gradually restored, depending on the appearance of the place.

It recommends that motorists largely circumvent the area between the southern ring road and the 7th arrondissement for the duration of the event.
