The Dean of the Maronite General Council in Lebanon, former Minister Wadih Al-Khazen, called on the international community to lift the coercive measures imposed on Syria to face the repercussions of the devastating earthquake that hit Syria at dawn yesterday.
In a statement to SANA reporter in Beirut, Al-Khazen called on the Arab countries to launch the widest solidarity campaign, to break the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria, and to support the Syrian people to face the repercussions of the catastrophe that befell them as a result of the devastating earthquake that hit Syria yesterday, and to help them get out of their ordeal.
Al-Khazen also expressed his condolences to the Syrian leadership, led by President Bashar al-Assad, and the families of the victims, praying to God Almighty to have mercy on the dead, heal the injured, and return the missing to their families safely.
