The Knesset's Constitution Committee has been the center of great drama for the past few weeks, following the discussions held in it regarding the weakening of the courts.
Just a few days ago, it was the chairman of the committee, Simcha Rothman, who suggested withdrawing the opinion document of the committee's ombudsman on the grounds that it was biased, and drew the ire of MKs from the opposition who accused him: "You are a terrorist."
The heated debates in the committee led to the expulsion of many MKs from the opposition by Rothman, who was accused of being a terror master and not allowing to speak, while he himself speaks for long minutes.
"If I were you, I would be silent"
Today, a new chapter was added to the retreat of the shouts in the committee, when in the debate on a basic law proposal: the judiciary (strengthening the separation of powers), former Minister of Justice Gideon Sa'ar (state camp) exploded at MK Moshe Saada (Likud), former deputy director of the Ministry of Justice: "I Exactly the man who will preach to you Tzedek, you must not be Mr. Tzedek. I was elected five times by Likud voters - you are only armed because you conducted negotiations with Ayelet Shaked, and I say this from knowledge and I will give more details when I get the chance.
"You will not preach morality to me. In my eyes, you are zero from zero. I am not going to apologize, this man defames my name. I will not go back, but I am ready to explain and expand."
Saada replied to him: "Beyond your loss of temper and the low and disrespectful style you adopt, I understand that after joining the left you are looking for a way to discredit those who really intend to influence the place from which you defected. After aligning yourself with everyone who contributed to the corruption of the justice system and the prosecution, in your place I would silent".
