The Colombian band Aterciopelados played in Argentina after six years, as part of the presentation tour of their studio album "Tropiplop", released in 2021. The album takes up the more rock sounds that characterized the first stage from the group led by Andrea Echeverri and Héctor Buitrago, which has more than 30 years of experience.

This production also includes a reversal of "La ciudad de la furia", an iconic Argentine rock song written and performed by Gustavo Cerati, with whom Echeverri maintained a close friendship.

In fact, in 2022, the singer was part of the "Gracias Totales" tour in which the remaining members of Soda Stereo said goodbye to the stages and paid tribute to their leader, who died in 2014. Before arriving in Buenos Aires, the band was presented in Santiago de Chile.

On the welcoming stage of Groove, in the Palermo neighborhood of the Argentine capital, Aterciopelados performed several of the hits that have established them as one of the most emblematic alternative rock bands in Latin America.

An audience that mixed several generations and also with Argentine, Colombian and Venezuelan accents vibrated with "Cosita seria", "Luz Azul", "Florecita rockera" and, of course, "Bolero Falaz", which closed a night with pure memories. and with the good energy and freshness characteristic of the band.

After the tour with "Tropiplop", which is defined as a "cry in defense of art, women and the planet" and which obtained two nominations at the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards, Aterciopelados is preparing to celebrate 25 years of " El Dorado”, the album that boosted their growth and positioned them internationally in the 90s. Although the anniversary was fulfilled in 2020, the celebration had to be rescheduled due to the restrictions imposed as a result of the covid-19 pandemic. 19.

The commemorative tour of "El Dorado" will have its first date on April 22 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Bogotá, the group's hometown.
