In his class, the Rebbe Rabbi Yosiah Pinto referred to the Yethro parasha and explained that from the parasha one can learn what can be done when suffering comes to a person

This coming Shabbat we will read Parshat Jethro in the synagogue.

The Rebbe Rabbi Yosiah Pinto explained in his lesson that from the parsha we can learn what can be done when suffering comes to a person and what is the message that the Holy One, blessed be He, conveys to him through that suffering.

And so Rabbi Pinto said in his lesson:

In this week's parsha, Jethro says: "Now I know that God is the greatest of all Gods Rashi says instead: In the waters of Egypt they wanted to destroy the people of Israel, to cast all the sons that were born into the light, and they were punished by drowning in the Red Sea.

So it is possible to clarify the words of Jethro and say a great foundation, Rabbi Pinto explained, many times a person has troubles and problems in life, a person needs to know when he has some kind of trouble or problem if he wants to solve it he has to rummage through the type of trouble or problem he has and the way of the trouble or The problem will be what the offense or sin is.

Because every iniquity and every trouble that a person has has a reason and it is similar to the punishment that the person received.

The Egyptians threw the children of the Israelites into the water so they were punished by drowning in the water.

When a person has some kind of punishment or trouble, go rummage through something similar to the trouble you have, as soon as you find something similar to your trouble in what you sinned and solve the similar thing that you are doing wrong, then the problem will be solved for you and the trouble will be over for you.

Every problem that a person has, if he goes and digs deep into it, and looks for wrongdoing, something not good like it, he will repent of this thing and then God will solve for him the trouble and the problem that the person has. This is how our holy sages say, "May God have mercy on you, for you will reward a man according to his deeds." (Psalms 7, 13) The Almighty has done us a favor in that he pays a man the punishment according to his deed as well as the sin he committed.

Rabbi Pinto concludes: That is why man knew a great foundation, he who has agony will fumble in his actions, in things that are similar to the trouble he has.

A person who hurts people - they hurt him, a person who robs people - they rob him, a person who makes people sad - they make him sad.

If the person messes up in his actions and repents in what is similar to what he did, God will pardon and forgive him and the problem and trouble he has will be removed from him. And this is a great foundation in life, "because you will repay a man according to his deeds" that the punishment is similar to the offense that the person committed.
