Egypt announced sending urgent aid to Syria to provide relief to the afflicted by the devastating earthquake that hit it at dawn yesterday, and led to hundreds of victims and injuries.
The Egyptian Middle East News Agency stated that, under the directives of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, military planes loaded with urgent medical aid were sent to Syria.
Al-Sisi had affirmed, in a phone call to President Bashar al-Assad, Egypt's solidarity with Syria and its brotherly people, and its keenness to provide assistance to help the Syrian people overcome this painful calamity.
