The Minister of the Interior, Major General Muhammad al-Rahmoun, received a phone call from the Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamiyah, during which he expressed his condolences and sympathy for the earthquake victims.
Major General Al-Rahmon also received a phone call from the Iraqi Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari, during which he affirmed standing by Syria in this case, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
Yesterday, an earthquake struck Syria with a magnitude of 7.7, causing hundreds of victims, a large number of injuries, and the collapse and cracking of dozens of residential buildings. The number of victims reached 812 deaths and 1,449 injuries in Aleppo, Latakia and Hama, in an endless toll.
