The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, expressed his country's solidarity with the Syrian and Turkish peoples, as a result of the earthquake that struck southern Turkey and northern Syria yesterday morning.
President Widodo, through his personal account on Twitter, offered condolences to the people of Syria and Turkey, saying: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and the victims.”
The earthquake that struck northern Syria at dawn yesterday caused 812 deaths and 1,449 injuries in the governorates of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama, Idlib and Tartous countryside, with an indefinite toll.
