The network of seismic stations of the Kazakh Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that an earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale occurred this morning in the south of the country.

The network stated on its website that the epicenter of the tremor was at a depth of 15 km, 375 km northeast of Almaty, near the border with China.

She indicated that no information has been received so far about any losses or damages as a result of the tremor.
