Popular, religious, economic and charitable associations and institutions in the city of al-Hasakah provided an amount of 322 million Syrian pounds as a donation from the people of the city of al-Hasakah to those affected by the earthquake, in addition to providing in-kind assistance including medicines, clothing, relief aid, and transportation.
The governor of Al-Hasakah, Dr. Louay Sayoh, said: The donations made by the events confirm that the Syrian people are one, and it is a message that reflects the solidarity of the people of Al-Hasakah with their afflicted brothers in the governorates of Aleppo, Latakia and Hama, and alleviates their suffering.
The Director of Social Affairs and Labor, Ibrahim Khalaf, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the earthquake, stressing the continuation of these initiatives in the governorate to provide more support and assistance.
The Bishop of Al-Jazeera and the Euphrates of the Syriac Orthodox, Archbishop Marmoris Amseeh, offered condolences to the families of the victims on behalf of the people of Al-Hasakah, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded, pointing out that the support of the Syrian people for some of them reflects the extent of deep-rooted love and brotherhood among the people of Syria.
Trader Ahmed Obaid said that this initiative reflects the extent of social solidarity that the Syrian people enjoy, pointing out that supporting and helping those affected is everyone's duty and responsibility.
The head of the Hasakah Chamber of Commerce, Muhammad Khair Sheikhmous, stated that the initiative is a message of love from the people of Hasakah to our affected people in other governorates, and said: The injured and the injured are the same, and we must stand by our brothers to overcome this ordeal and reduce its effects on them.
